PSA

I need to make a little public service announcement. ATVs are not for children, do not put your child on an ATV by themselves, with a friend, or even with you their parents. ATVs are not safe, as soon as we had our first real spring weekend here we had a number of children injured on ATVs.

I personally took care of a preschool aged child who was very hurt and life flighted to our hospital. That same day there was a girl who was 7 who was riding an ATV with her Uncle and died. Their ATV flipped and it landed on her, killing her from crush injury. I know some parents will rationalize this post by saying that is only two accidents, they are freak accidents, but they are not. These are two that I personally know of, can you imagine all those that aren't heard about. Anyways, I personally would not put myself on an ATV because adults are killed on them as well; however, it is your job as parents to protect your children. It isn't always about what is fun, it is about keeping your children safe.

Anyways, on a positive note, I have all but on page of our wedding website completed. You can check it out on www.phillipandmeghan.com. The one page that I am still working on is Things To Do while in the Keys. There are a ton of things to do down there, I am trying to narrow it down to about a half dozen things to advertise. I am going to work on calling some places this week to see if I can get a discounted price for our guests.

I am getting so excited about my wedding, T minus about 7 and a half months!

My April "I'm Alive" Post

I'm alive and I am 10 days from pinning. It is so sweet I can taste it. I can't wait.

I am not going to go into all the nitty gritty of what happened this last month. I am going to try to take it from here and go forward.

I bought my white scrubs for graduation, I picked up my pin today (it's so shiny) and I'm making reservations at a restaurant in town to head after pinning. I unfortunately didn't get a job offer from the two places that I interviewed (I'm not going to go into that either, it was all based on nepotism) and now I am waiting to get my license and will just apply as an RN as opposed to a GN.

Phillip and I are doing really well, he has been up in GVille a lot lately (thanks honey!) and he is applying for jobs up here--keep your fingers crossed. I don't think we've done any new wedding stuff over the last month, I was too busy in transition. Transition is when we go into the hospital on an assigned floor (I was on peds 44) and we work one on one with a nurse and we take on their team of patients. I worked mostly in the IMC (intermediate medical care, an ICU step down) and loved it!! I have had conversations with that floor's nurse manager about contacting me when there is an opening--fingers crossed there is an opening in mid May!

I think that is about all I've got for you guys! Hi, I'll try to catch up on your blogs a bit today. :)
