A Calling

I'm not sure I've every really thought of having a calling before now. I was at work yesterday and had 7 patients and RN duties on another 2 patients--there were only 6 nurse on our entire floor (because 2 people called in...flakes!) but all that aside, I felt like this is what I'm supposed to be doing. I just reorganized my normal schedule and worked in a few more patients and took care of all my responsibilities.

I'm a nurse, it's in my blood.

I truly feel blessed to have found my calling. I feel like people go through their entire life never knowing what they are supposed to be doing.

The only other calling I feel like I have in life is being a wife and a mother. I love my hubby more than anything, and I love him even more when he says to me yesterday, "Just think honey, you'll get to celebrate Mother's day in 3 years with a baby in your arms." By him saying these things makes me think that he too is excited about starting a family. I love that he thinks about this stuff!

I feel like once I am a Mom I will have met my callings in life and I cannot wait!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday.

I'm so glad you found your calling - it must be an amazing feeling.

I have no idea what I'm supposed to do in this life but I feel like school is where I'm supposed to be right now.

I think it's so great that you are doing something you love and are called to do- I hope I still feel the same way about nursing after I'm finished with school! It's nice to hear that all the difficulties of nursing school are worth it in the end!

BTW, thank you for your sweet comment when I found out I got into nursing school, it really meant a lot to me :)
