I don't(s)...

Ok so I am actually doing the I don't(s) on the right day; last week I had no idea that the I don't(s) were a Wednesday thing...I did mine on Thursday. I am clearly behind, lol.

Well today I am joining Jenna on the right day to do the I don't(s), head on over to her place to play along!

Jenna’s Journey Blog

Ok...

I don't like scary movies, never have, never will--I can turn on the news and see enough scary stuff around me.

I don't ride roller coasters. I can do the ones that go fast with big drops but I cannot go upside down! (Unless of course you want to see me vomit!)

I don't miss living like a college student. Even though I am in college, I live in a home, I own by myself. I've done the dorm rooms, I've done the apartments with roommates...not for me. I love living alone, having my own space to relax and just be me. :)

I don't like wearing face makeup. I don't wear powder, foundation, concealer, etc. Yuck! I stick to eye shadow, mascara and lip gloss (the occasional eye liner for a night on the town).

I don't spend enough time dolling myself up. When I am in school I really get up 15 minutes before I need to leave the house. I get up, pee, take the dogs out, brush my teeth, throw on jeans and a tank and head out.

Anyways, away from the I don't(s) and onto the I do(s)! :)

I think the teal and hot pink is going to change to midnight blue and hot pink but that will only be the case if we get married at sunset. I think the two contrasting shades will be fantastic, I also think the midnight blue is a nice masculine touch. Oh, so I've been talking to my mom and we've been talking about maybe having the wedding happen in Florida. She made a very valid point by saying that we wont be able to make any of the centerpieces, decorations, etc. if it is abroad. I love doing stuff like that and I want to do stuff like that.

Well when I brought that up to Prince Phillip he got really upset. He doesn't like change and had it carved in stone in his mind that it was going to be in St. Thomas and that was that. I tried explaining my reasons and he thinks if we have it in Florida it will be terrible. He thinks I will be stressed and it will be un-enjoyable. He wants to be able to get away with our family and not have to worry about anything.

I am torn. I think I will end up keeping it in St. Thomas because Prince Phillip's happiness means so much to me and I don't want him to be unhappy. I want to be able to decorate and see where we are having it, etc., you know, but clearly Prince Phillip being happy is more important than decorations. Whatever, stupid weddings, is it bad that I am frustrated with weddings 5 days into my engagement?

I don't like roller coasters either.

I hope you figure out what you want to do for your wedding. I know this is going to be a stressful time, but it'll all work itself out. Just keep it as simple as possible so you won't get overwhelmed.
Best wishes!

Aw dilemmas dilemmas...I'm sure there will be more, but it'll all be worth it in the end!

I don't like scary movies or roller coasters either... can't stand them. I actually vomit on any kind of roller coaster so i'll take the kiddie ride any day :)

I hate to say this... but get used to the wedding drama. I have no clue what your mom's personality is like or your future hubby's but I can say that the drama will last all the way until the big day (although it won't be consistent throughout the engagement).

Greg was very similar in the way he had strong opinions about certain things were going to be and then my mom had her own opinions and it made it hard on me being in the middle (actually, come to think of it thats how it always is with the two of them).

Don't worry, the wedding will be all worth it in the end... trust me. Sometimes I thought it was too much and wasn't worth it but every second was because the wedding was amazing!

Feel free to email me anytime with ideas or if you just want to vent or whatever... I know it can be good to have someone outside the situation to vent to... trust me! I needed it! letgolaughingblog@gmail.com

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog. :) Congrats on your engagement... and good luck with your plans... I HATED planning my wedding but my sister loved every minute of planning hers - we are all different! I'm going to read back on your blog and catch up when I have some time. And I am so with you on the scary movies... I don't even like the previews for them :)

Your pups are adorable! Love 'em! And I'm with you on the whole 'scary movie' thing. I can't watch them or I'll think about them nonstop and drive myself nuts! And congrats on getting engaged! I love the colors idea!
